You read this book and it’s entertaining. The crime lab is reporting out wrong results. The villain controls the outcome of cases. I enjoyed reading it but when you actually sit back and think about it, crime labs have a lot power. We always assume it is about the crime lab testing the evidence that helps convict the criminal, but what if you’re innocent? That is when you pray they know what they are doing.

I was hooked on this book from the first page and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. (In fact, I’m really hoping for a sequel because I’m anxious to know more about the characters) The plot unfolds and the twists are fun, but the darker message to the story is reflected in the bottom line…..power corrupts. How fitting for a story set in the Nation’s capital. nancy

I couldn’t believe this was the author’s first book – she definitely has a way of explaining details and describing events. While reading you felt like you knew the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

  4. Jim O'Connor says:

My brother sent me “No Evidence of a Crime” because I work in forensics. An interesting story line combined with accurate forensic possibilities made it a good read. Although it was a little unnerving to think of corruption in a crime laboratory, it’s a real possibility. I enjoyed it and recommend it.

    • One of the readers who left a review on Amazon said the reader’s desire for revenge is satisfied. I am assuming this is in reference to Jim shooting Jack (the evidence tech). I think that comment is well stated, because I don’t think Jim had revenge on his mind. His emotions were more visceral than that.
