The Midnight Ink copy editor and I have made a few minor changes in this book for the upcoming November paperback/ebook release. The biggest one (which is still small) was a change in a conversation between Claire and Roger on page 150 of the paperback/ebook version
from Claire saying:
“We have enough money now, Roger. The kids’ education is paid for and our house almost is. You don’t need to push so hard.” A thought struck her. “Or were you pushing for yourself? Do you really want to be a corporate power broker?”
to:
“We have enough money now, Roger. The kids’ education and our house are mostly paid for, and we’ve got a nice retirement fund.”
“My defense could get expensive.” (Roger’s reply)
“I don’t think we’ll have to worry about that.” When Roger opened his mouth, she held up a hand. “I’ll tell you why in a minute. What I’m saying is that you don’t need to push so hard for money.” A thought struck her. “Or were you pushing for yourself? Do you really want to be a corporate power broker?”
